No kelp. It is a deep to shallow dive depending on swell and current. The topography is like that of a stepped pyramid, with ledges and walls that are covered with invertebrates like anemones and nudibranchs and fishes such as small and large sculpin. It is great for Scallops and big sheephead if you are a hunter. My suggestion is to keep trying to go there. On the day you do get there, you will not be dissapointed.
