Chris:

Moe, Larry, and Curley gave us a lot of material for this posting.

I have had an occasional problem with a mask being "displaced" when a student turns around too fast to do a skill (such as compass navigation after being given a heading), and I get a fin in the face.

My solution has been to react quickly and put my hand up in front of my face, the same way "Curly" from the Three Stooges does. I teach all my students this response. And after I have demonstrated it, I belt out a "Whoop Whoop Whoop" the same way Curley did. The guys get it, the chicks usually hate it, but they all understand how to defend themselves from getting a mask kicked off.

Why carry a spare when you can keep your primary on your face? Nyuck, nyuck, nyuck.....
