Delete experienced, insert stubborn.
Just to prove I can do it is not enough reason to give up the added safety of a BC and the ability to use my full lung volume for actually breathing, instead of for buoyancy control. Think CO2 buildup. Having to pick up a rock or hold onto kelp to do a safety stop proves how ridiculous and reckless your system is.
IMHO, you are an accident waiting to happen. But it is a free world, so go ahead and prove whatever you have to. It is not experience.
