It's Muriatic Acid (a specific concentration
of hydrochloric acid). It's way too powerful
for this job. And don't use it on concrete,
it will etch the concrete.
Use phosphoric acid. The brand I use is Ed-Fred.
It comes in quarts and galllons at OSH in the
housewares department. It's really great
on showers, and clean hard water spots off
fibreglass boats. Use rubber gloves.
