First of all, those 10-15 lbs of bugs weigh that topside, not underwater. Second of all, who in his right mind would attempt to swim up some 10-15 lbs of extra weight if his BC was working? So, who has actually done this, swimming up being 10-15 lbs negative?
Next time you find one of those lost 8lb lead weights, try it yourself: grab it without changing your BC, try to swim up and then consider you are in distress and close to panic because you fear for your life. That would be an ugly experience!
