Again: what is the origin of "AA" for the HP tanks?
What does "AA" mean?

It's not the differential that counts, it's the
negativness after ditching the belt at 100'. My
numbers say the HP80 diver is six pounds negative,
the AL80 diver is 1 pound positive. You came up with
11 and 6 respectively. Six pounds is manageable.
Also, if my AL80 diver has a wing failure at the
END of the dive, they are going to the surface
pretty quickly unless they swim down real quick.

Also, there are other advantages to the HP80 (10
pounds less to lug across the beach, easier to haul
into the boat) and backplate (better trim).

I agree that with doubles, steel tanks and a wetsuit
could be a problem.
