I just got back from a week in diving in La Jolla/San Diego.

In La Jolla we did 3 beach dives. The water temp. was around 64 to 68 degrees. Down in the submarine canyon it got down to 44 degrees. Now that was cold. I really enjoyed the surge swimming in. I felt like I was flying. We went on a night dive in La Jolla cove. I saw so many lobsters. I'm pretty sure we were in a marine reserve. So, the lobsters should be safe.

The next day we dove wreck alley. The first dive was on the Yukon. I was so facinated by the ship I didn't check water temp. It was somewhat cold, but when we started forward on the ship I warmed up. There's not alot of growth on the ship. Some kelp is getting a hold, but tit was really cool to see the ship. Next we dove on the Ruby E. That was my favorite. It was covered with growth. Mostly strawberry anemones. It was really pretty. I was cold for all of that dive. I forgot to check the water temp. again....LOL.

and a few pictures.....

A growth on the Yukon.

Looking out the wheelhouse of the Ruby E.
