The scallop is a filter feeder I know so they may want to reconsider their position on that one. The urchin I do not belive is, but it ingests algaes which do contain some oral toxins. Heat has no efect. If I were to eat a bottom dweller from Southern California, I would stick to lobster. I know many that choose otherwise, if you ingest a oral toxin you may not die but you will feel pretty sick.
