I haven't tried outside the the jetty, unless you mean on the outside wall of the jetty. If you mean the jetty itself and the seaward side, then yes and it's a ton of fun when it's calm. Like all jetty's the visability can be a real issue. My guess is with the surf as high as it is and coming from the direction it's coming the jetty for opening is out. But when you get a chance you should dive it. You will grab a bunch of ones that look legal and end up just short. But for every ten to 15 you grab a legal one will go in the bag. The good news, by dive end there should be quite a few legal ones coming to dinner. Yolur hands might be sore but your stomach will more than make up for it.
