Thank you Karl (for the modern instructor comment)after teaching for 27 years, I guess I'm not as much of a dinosaur as I thought.
In the 27 years I have been teaching, I have never liked doing ESA's, because, everytime you perform this skill you put the student and yourself at risk.
Remember, the first duty of a NAUI instructor is the safety of your student(why are we doing a skill that has killed students?).
When you teach a little more you may change your mind on this to. Hopefully some of us modern instructors can help NAUI change the Standards.
