La Jolla Cove is a reserve. No hunting.

The South Casa to Hospital Point area has worked out OK in the past during the first week or two of the season. You're unlikely to get anything huge because the area gets heavily trapped and dived.

The North Bird Rock area can also work. The bottom is great for lobster -- lots of rocks and crevices -- but it can be very surgey and visibility oftens leaves something to be desired.
