There seems to plenty of bugs out there and I do not seem to notice a significant difference from when I first started diving 15 years ago. I am all for hunting lobster, and in fact plan to go bug hunting for my first time ever this season. Can't wait!
However, I noticed a previous post said one boat alone brought back 500 bugs during opening weekend. If the boat had 30 divers, that's nearly 17 lobsters per person. Is it just me, or does that seem a bit excessive?
I figure take a few for dinner and then go diving a week or so later and get a couple more. Don't get me wrong, I'm no tree-huggin' extremist or anything, but I think things could be done with a little more moderation. People are so damn greedy I can't believe it!
