Rocks, Rips & Reefs Season Finalé for the LA area.

Half-day workshop to improve beach diving skills & familiarize divers with popular dive sites.

Instructors demonstrate & supervise  proper surf entry & exit procedures, dive condition assessment techniques, and explain unique aspects of the dive site.

Participants wear full wetsuit, mask, fins, snorkel and weightbelt with half of the normal weight used for diving (or no weight belt at all).  We will not use tanks & regulators as the training focusses on safe entry and exit skills

$5 donation helps fund the program.

This event is organized by the L.A. County Underwater Instructors Association in cooperation with Greater Los Angeles Council of Divers.

For more info, e-mail: 3rsNOSPAM@glacd.org or call 1-NOSPAM-310-3795681 (don't forget to remove NOSPAM to make the link work).

Meet: 8 a.m., October 12th at White Point, San Pedro(Thomas Bros. Maps Page 853/H1). The county charges a fee to enter this park. After coming down to the bottom of the hill, turn to the left and go to the end of the lot. We will be at the end on the gravel road.

If you plan on attending, please RSVP so we can have an appropriate amount of instructors in attendance. Also, we will have a Bar-B-Que with some great eats to celebrate the season finalé, so bring something to share!
