One thought for you. Be careful lobster hunting while carrying a pole spear. We all know that you can spearfish and lobster hunt on the same dive. However, the DFG tends to frown on this. I think their basic assumption is that you are using the pole to "tickle" bugs out of their holes.
Not saying you would...just saying others do and the DFG tends to be pretty intolerent about it. Burden of proof is still on them, but you get the picture.
