Since my wife will go to China for 2 weeks and I will be stuck here w/ the kids...I went diving! Got in the water at 12 noon and headed out to the surf rock. No swell and no current. I grabbed a nice bug on the way out. The vis varied from 5-20 feet and the fish were everywhere. I was first greeted by barred perch and opal eye, then by about 20 juvinile wsb about 22". I swam north below the main lifegaurd tower and spotted a couple halibut (not sure if they were 22" I passed em by). As I headed south toward Zeros I ran into a 2 very large batrays w/ one of them having no tail (??) also saw a nice 5' leopard shark out in the kelp. I ended up spearing a halibut for dinner and got out of the water at dark (about 7 hours in the water). Ya I'm tired but I will be ready to go again when wifee gets back!
