Last night proved there is strong diving community in Northern California; over a hundred showed their support for David Laird and Doug Jones' video of freedive spearfishing the California way. Earlier in the month another hundred divers attended the NorCal's fish feed fundraiser and shot trap at Martinez Gun Club. Last August, a group of twenty met at Van Damme State Beach to enjoy fresh crab, abalone and rock cod over a four day weekend.
The common denominator of these examples are a group of people that respect nature and each other by enjoy it's rewards; taking mature fish with sportsmanship and moderation.
