Although there is no scientific data to support the fact that divers are just as destructive as the overfishing to an area, touching, moving, or destroying anything in it's natural environment has potential problems. I think that if some instructors taught their students to respect the sealife they are looking at and enjoying, it would help. Permanent moorings at the sites would eliminate the anchor problem, but that is a huge project, and would take money. There are other dive areas in the world (i.e. Bonaire) that are marine parks, and they have very strict rules about touching or taking things from the ocean, plus they have moorings. Just my 2 cents worth...
