I would buy that biggest and brightest concept if not for one small problem. Look at the IGFA record books and if the hunters have decimated the "biggest and brightest" then how could new records be established each year?

Some of the largest white seabass taken have come from recent years and the numbers of large white seabass caught each year are steadily improving. That wasn't caused by any reserve. It was the result of properly established take limits, restrictions on commercial take methods and supplemental private foundation breeding programs to increase the hatch.

And you wonder why we have such a hard time buying into this reserve thing. Here where have proof positive that effective species management plans actually work and on the flip side you expect us to believe the DFG that has nothing but an Oregon bio to back up their plan on let's just shut it down.

Even the simpliest of minds can figure out this DFG shell game. Are you just Brad posting under another name?
