If we do this, then only sport fish will be available and then it will only be for sport fishers and their friends and families. That will be very few dead little fishies.
The fisheries will recover and all those evil mass murderers of cute fishies will have to find honest work, like preparing beans and sprouts for us to eat on our tofu burgers or as garnishes with our To-Furkey at Thanksgiving.
OK so I am writing a stupid response to what seems like a stupid question. There are ways to manage the fisheries. The problem is that our government has failed to do it properly. The nearshore sealife has suffered greatly for their errors. The sad part is that we all have to pay the price for their failures.
