The link states that the subpoena asked the shops to "identify" customers. Are we talking about identification by providing a list of names (Joe Smith, Redondo Beach), or are we talking about identification by providing photocopies of the entire student application of each drop-out student?

While I'm certainly not the one to judge what material is unobjectionable, the scope of the request makes a difference to my view of these issues. I couldn't care less who knows I took a scuba class -- some of the shops put their candidates' names in their newsletter anyway -- but some of this application information is way above my personal threshold for acceptable material to pass around...For example, course intake forms at the dive shop include a medical history form.

Is there a copy of the subpoena online somewhere?
