I was aboard the Pacific Star on my first dive to Catalina. It was quite amazing. Eagle Reef (64 deg, 70+ vis), Black Rock (64 deg, 60-70'+ vis), and then Eagle Rock (57 deg, 30-50' vis) on the back side was just incredible. The DM said it was unusual to get a chance to dive the back side due to high swells and waves bashing the rocks. Also, seeing San Clemente and Santa Barbara Is. at the same time was spectacular. Looking forward to doing it again.
