I went out last weekend, November 30, 2002 - December 1, 2002, on the Peace with Sea d Sea to San Nicolos Island.
On the drive up to Ventura it rained quite a bit, but the sea was calm.
When wee got to the Nic the next day, there were big swells, but 20 seconds apart.
We spent almost the whole day at the boilers.
The water was 59°F with over 50 foot visibility.
There were many bugs, but they were far back, and only a few came up each dive.
Than the last dive of the day, a few souls went very shallow, and got worked.
Steve Sanford and Captain Eric Bowman were both rewarded with bugs over 10 lbs. Carol Beck, assisted by Robert Davis got the 11½ bug.

All of these bugs were released after the photos were taken.
The next day we dove Rosa where I got my best bug of the trip. Then we dove inside of Gull Island at Cruz, and moved down to Yellow banks.
It was great trip for the Thanksgiving weekend.
