A couple of summers ago we kept our boat in a slip in Mission bay at CAMPLAND ON THE BAY. It is a nice fancy place with pools, recrooms for the kids, etc. It is a full on RV park as well as campground. They are on the water of Mission Bay with their own beach. You can't get much closer to the water than on the beach! The couple of times we camped in the campground (as opposed to sleeping in the itty bitty boat cabin) it seemed expensive. But it was sure convenient to the SD attractions.
