I had the good fortune to go on several of Jim's trips. He was a wonderful teacher and a super human being - definitely one of a kind. I don't think that the diving industry grows them quite the same anymore. I hope that some of the dive magazines will run some re-runs of his best underwater photography articles and that at least one monument springs up someplace in the world in his memory. I also hope that some of the up and coming as well as established divers/photographers will step out and open themselves up to the diving community like Jim did. One of the things that I think made him so special is that he never tried to sell anything, except of course, his expertise.
