Ahh yes the good old days!
The only Dive shop I knew named Aloha was in burbank. I got certified by Masa Wantanabe and his employee Melvin in '84. My check out dive was on the Golden Doubloon at Catalina.
Used to dive on the Captain Midnite a lot, that must of been the hardcore black sheep of the fleet back then, as I remember LOL. 3 day trips sure had a lot of drinking!!!!!
I just saw the Golden Doubloon a few months ago get towed by my slip in la harbor, kinda neat to see it again.
I'v heard the only dive shop in Burbank is run by a really rude Armenian guy. Sad... Masa was cool.
