I have only heard about the GUE "screening". And I only wanted to bring it up, before the candidate (if this is not a troll post) spent a lot of money on gear first.

GUE puts more emphasis on "screening" than any other agency does. TDI puts more emphasis on "development" than on screening. NAUI mentions screening in its standards as well.

I believe a candidate (if this is not a troll post) should screen the tech instructors, one from GUE, one from TDI, one from NAUI, and then take his/her pick, depending on what is said.

This is starting to sound a lot like a GUE troll post to me.

GUE's weakness is badmouthing other agencies. GUE is also not flexible at all, and follows a set protocol for everything.

TDI incorporates flexibility in gear choices, gas mixes, etc. NAUI, depending on the instructor, is flexible as well.
