I have hung out under the boat in less than twenty feet many times just relaxing, watching the other divers and outgassing. Some DMs seem to think if you come up with less that 500psi, you must have not been monitoring your spg. That is not always the case. I paid for the dive, I'm going to enjoy every minute of it. 500 psi doesn't do me any good on the deck.
