The fold out is titled "California Seashore Life", and is printed by Waterford Press. It folds out to twelve panels, a front cover, a back cover with stratification illustration, one panel for plant life (both in and out of the water), three panels for invertibrates, one panel for fish (!?!), four panels for birds (hmmmm....), and one panel with seals and whales. It is water resistant coated, and is durable.
But it covers a lot of bases that other guides do not. I would recommend that you get slates for in-water identification and not take this underwater, But it is a nice product.
