Santa Cruz. My favorite place in all of California to dive.
Get on Hiway 1 south. Exit Monterey and dive there.
Unless, you really have the need, then there is diving for you in Santa Cruz. Realize the geology of the northern side of the Monterey Bay is mudstone and the water can be mud. A good day of vis can be 6 feet, but the diving can be very fun, because the life is lush. You can dive in Santa Cruz off of Steamers Lane/Lighthouse Point. Most of the beaches up the coast are nice. Here are a few reports about the area. There are more reports at www.diver.net/seahunt
Uh, this time of year is not the time to dive there. It's best after May. If you can dive there, you can dive anywhere.
Try

and for when you can't dive....

Enjoy the diving, seahunt
