Did a quick mid morning dive in Malubu yeterday. Checked the reports and they were reporting 20' Viz, so had to check it.
Arrived to small 1-2' surf after a short hike down to the water. Through the "crashing" surf and immediately could sewe the bottom in 5 feet, as I approached the reef the viz incresed to over 20'. Dropped to the bottom in 25' and searched for the elusive bugs. Life was abundant, with large Calicos, Sheepshead, and a few Lings, also schools of Black Perch with the highlight a 5ft Leopard Shark.
Maaged a few bugs, easy exit even the hike up to the car. A great day.
