The fish in San Diego seem to be fairly friendly. Something I discuss more in my next report. My guess is that there used to be a lot of fish and a lot of spearfishing. Then, when the fish were mostly depleted, the spearfishing ended. When I have been diving there, it seemed that the the fish were recovering to a certain limited extent. While I saw a lot of fish, I had the distinct feeling that they could be fished out again quickly. This is mostly just a guess though.
That is a pretty neat picture, but you really get my curiosity with it. I thought the only divable aircraft carrier was the Saratoga at Bikini. I agree, those wheels look, in my inexpert opinion, like parts of the arrestor gear for stopping landing aircraft. Where in the heck was that?
