I never dove with a J valve. I dove before there were SPGs, but we didnt use J valves. We planned our dives and provided for an adequate reserve based on planned depth and planned bottom time. That was then.
This is now. We monitor our SPGs. And life is good.
What made you think of J valves, Steve?
