Thanks to everyone who recommended the Sundiver, I had a great time on Sunday. The ocean was flat with a light wind. Capt Ray took us to the backside and earned major points after declaring the first planned site unworthy of diving (it actually didn’t look too bad) and instead continued to cruise up the backside looking for a better site. How many other captains would just say “ok, everyone in the water”? We circumnavigated the entire island getting in 3 dives. On the way over we say both grey and pilot whales and underwater encountered clusters of horn sharks (more than a dozen), hundreds of shorts (and a few legal), abalone, harbor seals and of course plenty of other life. Vis was 30-40’ and water was 62 at 60’. I like the Sundiver, the crew and the captain. I’ll definitely dive with them again and I'm thinking hard about that season pass.

Dave
