We saw the Iron Eagle anchored on top of the Valiant on February 22 as we approached Avalon for the UW Cleanup. (But it didn't appear there were any divers on board.) She left Avalon later that morning and that's the last I personally saw of her.

I heard from a fairly reliable source that the boat, as of a few days ago, was in Ensenada and headed further south into Mexico. However, two of the crew and A PAYING PASSENGER jumped ship in Ensenada and came back to LA because it was just getting too weird on board.

It'll be interesting to see what happens with it. I've got a sinking (no pun intended) feeling that when I get to La Paz in October for my annual Sea of Cortez trip, someone will say, "Hey, did you hear about the new dive boat in town? It's called the Iron Gringo . . ."
