Did two dives on Sunday. Water was a refreshing 55 degrees, clear skies with 72 degrees air temp at 9:00 AM. The ocean was beautiful, with Catalina, Santa Barbara and the northern Channel Islands in clear view from Hawthorne Blvd.

The water action was calm which made for easy entry from the rocks at the north side of the cove. The visibility ranged from 20-30 feet, with the better visibility shoreward of the kelp forest. Lots of fish were seen, including a large Bat Ray lying on the rocks, with a wingspan of about 3 1/2 feet. Lots of legal size lobsters who obviously know the season is over were seen hanging around in the shallows.
