We don't have a problem like that of any type, never have. DM's with shops are there to watch their divers, leave my boat, the regulations I am responsible for alone. DM's that come from groups have no authotity on the boat unless it's given to them by me or another captain.
In SD the only DM's that come out with us are from Sport Chalet and apparently unlike their LA counterparts, are always very professional and courteous to the passengers. I don't care who paid the tab and signed them up, they are my passengers and it is my boat. At the end of the day it's me and my crew talking to the Coasties,DFG,Lifeguards, everyone else will have gone home.
Move your boat down here and get away from that crap!
