Go with a relief valve. Make sure it's a pressure
balanced one. A valve can be used underwater. A
relief zipper will most surely bet you wet if you
overboard dischage during the dive. That kind of
ruins the effect of the drysuit.

And a word on the catheters for the valve "plumbing"
- go with the clear latex ones. They glue up well
and don't come off if put on correctly.
