Saturday was one of two annual anomalies in the
Monterey Breakwater parking lot: It was the annual
Handicapped Veteran's fishing derby, and a fair
piece of the lot was reserved for them. The other
annual event is the opening weekend of salmon
season IF the fishermen thing the fish are south.
Sunday, even though conditions were flatter, there
was lots of parking (once we moved Saturday's
"reserved" signs which the city didn't do).
