Friends and Customers,
After months of hard thought and long considerations Wet Connection has decided to stop teaching Able-body and Handicapped Scuba Diving.
Since May of 1986, Wet Connection has tried to teach Safety & Diver Etiquette in all of our classes and functions. We feel that the standards that we have set for ourselves are no longer able to be fullfilled, and the way of the small dive owners are a thing of the past. We are unable to compete with the larger dive store chains, with their Dive Now and Learn Later Attitude, which has become the philosophy thoughout the dive industry. We also feel that the lowering of Teaching Standards and the rising cost of Dive Insurance is extreamy detrimental to the small dive business (especially ours). Therefore, we have to say goodbye and close our doors.
Now - this does not mean that we are going to stop diving all together. You will still see us out trying to catch those big bugs and spearfishing from time to time, so if you see us say hello.
Also, we will be selling off dive gear, to include, wetsuits, boots, gloves, hoods, tanks, reg's, BC's, weight's and belts. So, if you are looking for some extra dive gear and great savings give us a call or e-mail.
Our e-mail address is also changing, our new address is wetconn@gte.net please make sure that you change your address book.
Thank you all for your support and loyalty over the years.
