May 16 is the last day to pre-register for just $55 for the
22nd Annual California Beach Dive Photo Competition to be
held in Monterey on Saturday and Sunday of Memorial Day
weekend. From May 17 through the event day on Saturday,
May 24, you'll pay $70.
Fees include a roll of slide film donated by Kodak, event
T-shirt, dinner Saturday night with a no host bar, as well
as the Sunday judging and awards ceremony.
This year, we have an especially rich bounty of booty, with
nearly $30,000 in prizes the most lucrative list in our
event's history:
… 14 warm water trips, including 9 to the soft corals of
the Western Pacific
… 6 local trips in the Monterey area
… Over $1,500 in gear!
Prizes will be chosen in order, first by the Best of Show
winner, then by the person with the next highest point
total. With this system, any Novice, an Intermediate or an
Open participant can claim virtually any prize.
Also note that this year, we'll be accepting digital images
for the first time.
