if i shoot it, it is because it is of legal size, in season and i desire to make it into a meal or three. The fact that i find it much more enjoyable to hunt the animal in its own realm with a politically incorrect device called a speargun instead of leaning over a railing with a rod and reel does not diminish the fact that what gets killed also gets properly cooked and eaten.
To elucidate things for Steve, lets just say that every fish i shoot, in a premeditated, selective way, with no bycatch, is one less fish i buy at Whole Foods market or South Bay Grill caught in some net somewhere with tons of bycatch.
