Well, we've made it to Palau unscathed, where the weather looks infinitely better than in Yap (see below). It's a typical tropical day, with humid air, a slight breeze, and huge puffy clouds in the sky.
I'm sitting in the "Palau@cafe" where you can not only access the Internet but also get a cup of Starbucks coffee. And (but we'll save this for the afternon since it's 9:30AM Sunday in Palau as I type this) they have really great ice cream.
We'll spend the day wandering around today, visiting the Palau Aquarium, going to a great little Japanese restaurant for lunch, and then getting on the Aggressor around 4PM. We anticipate a great week (with MUCH better weather than last August) and will hopefully have stories to regale you with when we return.
