Haven't been there in five years, but all the operators that I have dealt with (about 5 trips over a ten year time frame) have all been very good, professional, and courteous. I've dived with quite a few charter services from West Palm Beach all the way out to Key West.
Most trips I did out of the Boynton Beach area. Dived several times with "Diving Solutions."
One time, the dive boat was only half full, and the boat moored next to it was only half full also. The skippers talked it over and all divers ended up on one boat. This let the other skipper take the day off. Florida charter operators seem to work together like this, no cut-thoroat competition like in other areas, no bad-mouthing of other charters. All in all, the folks in Florida are very friendly.
I'll be out there early as well, but I plan on going out to Key West, which is a little bit far to go if you are only going to be there three days.
