Just this would scare me away. Wasn't it like two weeks later they had that Catalina incident where a crew member swamped their dingy and lost some of the customer's gear? Does anyone know if that MOB was reported to the USCG for that incident? If I remember correctly, wasn't it another boat that picked up the crew member from the cold water after some time?

MI01036666 Los Angeles, CA November 26, 2001 5 25NOV01: Issued no sail 835 after being involved in dive incident where propulsion and communications problems were reported by the crew.
26NOV01: Conducted satisfactory check ride. Cleared no sail 835, issued 5 other deficiencies and 5 remain outstanding. See MINS for details.
