Paul, noone answered your question. When was the last time you dove (you mention Bahamas, but how long ago was that?) If it has been a while, you may want to do a refresher course, or at least pick up one of the new books and review.
Have you ever been diving in colder water? The temps are around 64 degrees now, and hopefully will be 66 by the end of July or so...
