Basically, I agree with most of your post. I've been diving EANx up to 40% for over 15 years. Now I dive steel 120's with air and a 30 cu ft pony with 36% which I use for an ascent gas. Due to age and advanced conservatism, my max depth is no more than 100 fsw. Occasionally I'll extend my NDL time by switching to the 36% pony, but not for too long ;-) I keep track of time and gas mix with a NiTek 3 computer, backed up with a Sunnto Solution to regulate ascent rate. BTW, the NiTek is more conservative than the Suunto.
