You are assuming that the purpose of nitrox is to improve the elimination of nitrogen during the ascent from a deep and or long dive. In this case, a deco dive (defined here as one in which you cannot ascend directly to the surface without stops), you are using one of the advantages that nitrox can offer. But there are a lot of us who use nitrox differently. Nitrox <40% is a medium depth mix that aloows reduced nitrogen loading and is nice for repetitive dives. It is nice to stay a bit farther from saturation. And us oldsters, well at least us middle aged types, feel better at the end of a 4-dive day. The drive home is much nicer after doign the dives on nitrox.
So while you use nitrox as part of deco diving, more of us use it for medium recreational depth recreation repititive dives.
Like anything else, you decide the kind of diving you will do and you choose your equipment.
