Seems like every year around this time, there are literally thousands of these translucent "things" that wash up ashore. They are blue at the base, and they have a clear flap that sticks up (it looks like they are designed to catch the wind). I first thopught they were a type of jellyfish, but then after I picked it up, I thought it may be some kind of seed for a plant. Does anyone know what I'm talking about?? They are everywhere around SB.
