For the record, the bottle was sent up. Right about the time it was let go the Black Sea Bass was noticed...it sucked in the bottle. The divers couldn't believe it...a few moments later the Sea bass started shaking its head and spit the thing out. None of this was intentional.
I might also add that the people on the free diver's boats (there were 3 boats) could have ruined it for everyone by going ashore on San Clemente….setting up lounge chairs and shooting off fireworks. Not to mention the empty wine bottle that floated by us Friday night from their direction.
Saturday the Sandollar was at Catalina, although I can't figure out why anyone cares.
