I went to Platform Grace on the Peace for 3 tanks today. Radical diving. Radically beautiful. Colors!
It was the usual Peace experience. Efficiency. Great diving. What can I say. They still let me on the boat.
The crowd was fun, serious divers. Serious photodogs with serious gear.
Conditions were good, but pretty dark down under there on that first dive.
It was the awesome beauty that you see at the rigs and a very few other places where there are rich open ocean currents to feed the thick growth of filter feeders. Everything little thing is vividly colored.
Big scallops. Very tasty.
I took pictures like crazy. With a little luck and my little skill, I might have some great pics. I'll post them.
My camera rig cost about $1400. I think the next cheapest rig I saw was at least 3 times as much.
Exotic, beautiful diving.
Eric, Bob, Kevin and the rest of the crew took good care of everyone.
This is my kind of diving. I'll have a report soon.
